Love these Labels

Vintage comestible (fancy term for food) labels are simply gorgeous, the time and care that went into the artwork makes them so very charming. My love of antique illustrated packaging verges on obsession, and as my friends and family know I have an ever growing collection. I think they are way too pretty to store away, but what to do with them? Frame them, yes, put them on recycled cans, even better! It couldn’t be easier to add some fun color to your desktop, table or nightstand. I am sharing three lovely labels from my collection with you. The “Dixie Maid” syrup label is a can label from the 1920′s, I researched the decade but I think her hairstyle makes it very evident. The other two labels were from fruit crates from the 20′s and 30′s. I have sized them for you so they fit around a standard Campbell’s soup can nicely. Simply print, cut them out and use spray adhesive or double sided tape. Voila!
