I had the opportunity to donate some fabric to Pfaff Vancouver’s charity sew-in. Little Dresses for Africa is the lucky beneficiary of this event hosted by Sabine Bolzner who runs the Pfaff Vancouver shop. Learn how you can get involved and create a pillow case dress for a little girl in Africa. Details here.
Fall is here and after a glorious summer I am ready for it. There is just something about early fall that I find incredibly inspiring, I manage to be super productive and upbeat. Of course that might not last when the weather turns nasty but then there is always the food!! I love an excuse to indulge in comfort food and who can ignore the wonderful abundance of root vegetables that harvest time brings. We celebrate fall every year with lots of scrumptious variations on root vegetable mash. Here is a recipe from Tyler Florence that looks like a good one, yum!
I was lucky to attend our local Kerrisdale antiques fair last weekend. It was the perfect sunny day and the arena is a short bike ride from our house. Had a ton of fun hunting treasures and snapping inspiration pics. I walked away with an assortment of very retro matchbook covers, I will share some very soon:)
I enjoyed making these cute little keychains this weekend. They feature my High Street fabric collection. Here is a simple tutorial if you’d like to try making them yourself:)
